Rainbows is a specialist nursery provision for children with a diagnosis of autism. We are one of two nursery provisions in Brent that specialise in catering for children with autism.

Autism affects children in a variety of ways but all have difficulties in three main areas:

Social interaction – relationships, turn taking, understanding other people

Communication – verbal and non-verbal communication, understanding language

Inflexibility of thought – reliant on routines, creative thinking, imaginary play.

Children with autism can also experience a range of sensory issues such as visual, auditory and physical difficulties.

Our vision is to offer an outstanding provision that gives children and families the support, tools and opportunities they need to succeed and flourish. We believe that every child can learn and achieve when we meet their individual needs.
