Floor play time (Tummy Time)

Research shows that babies who spend time on their tummies are able to roll over, sit up, creep, crawl and pull themselves up to standing significantly earlier than babies who remain on their backs.

Tummy time increases babies’ confidence and independence helping them to become motivated to explore their surroundings as they learn to control their bodies.

Let’s Talk

Is a group where singing is used to help children listen and talk, enjoy time together and help get ready for nursery. There is support from the Speech and Language team to discuss any concerns parents/carers might have about their child’s language development.

Sensory Baby Play

Through exploration in our wonderful well equipped sensory room, this group helps babies learn early social, communication and physical skills through looking, feeling, touching smelling, moving listening and hearing.

Stay, Play and Learn

Is for children and their parents/carers to come and play together taking part in lots of fun activities.

The grownups talk about what the children are doing so that the children can learn about listening and talking. By playing children learn early skills that will help them when they go to school, like making choices, taking turns and following routines. The grown ups help them by joining in with their play, tidy up time, story time and singing time.
