By working closely with our partners, we are able to offer a wide range of family learning classes, as well as numeracy, literacy and the opportunity to improve basic English language skills (both speaking and writing)
Training is supported by crèches to help parents attend, confident that their children are cared for close by.
Brent Citizens Advice Bureau
The CAB service aims:
- To provide the advice people need for the problems they face.
- To improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.
The service provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. It values diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination
Child and family health services
Our Children Centres offer a range of health services. The programme of health services delivered includes: pre and post antenatal appointments with a midwife, baby health clinics for 1year old and 2 year old health reviews, speech and language therapy and support for breastfeeding
Childminders meet weekly to deliver high quality care to children in a stimulating, and well resources environment. Many of the childminders are part of an accredited childminding network and provide places for children accessing the Nursery Education Grant (NEG) for 2 & 3 year olds.
All of our work is intended to support children and families; however, we do also have specialist staff who can work with families in a more detailed and focused way. Please click here for further information.
